I’m a thirty-something (soon to be forty-something) website designer living in Grimsby. I tinker with things on the Internet for fun and profit and generally don’t get on people’s nerves. I’m a high-functioning geek and the first port of call when something goes wrong with someone’s computer – ain’t we all?
After putting loads of effort into writing my own hyper-efficient blog engine, I finally gave up and installed WordPress in May of 2009. Within a few hours I’d installed a nice theme and a brace of plugins and had found a new love for tweaking things on the site – WordPress certainly helps in that regard.
I’m one of those terribly boring people who actually enjoys such CV-padding activities as Reading and Walking, tearing through the likes of John Harvey, Stephen King and Karin Slaughter in a few days and occasionally disappearing off up to Scotland to sleep near, and sometimes climb the highest mountain in the land. I’ve done the latter twice, and still not had a heart attack.
I have an XBox360 and a Wii and don’t play either of them as much as I could. My current gamerscore is a stratospheric 1,095. Woo! I have a Surround-sound DVD player, a PVR and a BluRay player beneath my 42-inch LCD TV and I still look for other things to buy despite having no spare sockets to connect anything.
