Huge Japanese Roof Picture

In preparation for a trip to Japan with K later this year, I was plotting a train journey on Google Maps when I spotted something interesting on the roof of a warehouse near our hotel. I zoomed in a bit and… well see the image to the right.

It appears to be a globe wearing a metal hat, possibly an alloy wheel. I have absolutely no idea what it represents, so if anyone in Japan knows what this is all about, please let me know using the comments box.

The image is absolutely massive. You can quite easily fit four cars (see inset) in each of the thing’s eyes, and I calculate it to be about 70m high.
