Started a new site this afternoon, a computer components shop thing. Did loads on it (Win2k and Access – speedy dev combo) and it’s going well. More tomorrow, but for now I’m orf to bed.

Morning Post and Bloody British Bloody Weather

January 29th, 2003

Sometimes you expect nothing, and you’re pleasantly surprised.

We returned a packet of plain biscuits to the manufacturers after we found pieces of fruit (apple?) in them. We actually ate a few and agreed that they were really nice, and I originally contacted them to suggest making these things and releasing them as a product. The company asked for the biscuits back and even sent a pre-paid padded envelope, so we duly sent them on their way.

One letter this morning – a nice long note from the company with a postal order for £5 and biscuit vouchers (which my local supermarket accepts as payment for anything) to the tune of £10. Not bad seeing as we were given the biscuits in the first place!

What a great start to the day…

Sadly, it’s now p*ssing it down outside which will probably put my walking on hold for the day. I’m sat just inside the front bay window and I’ve got to put the light on because it’s so overcast. It looks truly miserable outside. And it was so nice yesterday.
