Possible Web 0.2 Bl0g and F0rums...

I've been thinking about putting some new forums stuff together for the site but I can't be bothered to actually come up with a new design. This gave me the idea of not actually designing anything, and just doing a plain text, minimum feature forum thing. Web 0.2, to coin a phrase.

Imagine! A forum with no gradients, no pretty colours, no avatars. Users could post without even signing up (kind of, I have an idea for that) or signing in. No cookies on your machine, no JavaScript, everything as bare bones as possible.

There would be CSS, but only to apply Courier New (or the font of your choice) to everything. It'll be a marvel of apathy, if I can actually be bothered.

This site was originally going to be a folder full of text files that you could just click to open, but I realised it would mean I'd have to open up an FTP package just to post. Too much effort and not portable enough - one thing I like about the bl0g is that I can update it from anywhere, even from a tent in a muddy field somewhere.

Let me think about it. One thing's for sure, it won't take very long to actually put together.
