I decided to crank the internal memory of my phone up from 64MB to 1GB so that I could use it as an MP3 player which in turn might help persuade me to get off my fat arse and get out jogging, or at least walking quickly. I originally ordered a couple (one for a colleague) from Magenta Solutions at £60 each, only to find they were out of stock until the start of November.Turning to eBay, where I admit I've been spending an awful lot of money just recently, and I picked one up direct from China for just under forty quid. Granted, this was exceptional, and the 1GB Duos are usually selling for £50 in p&p, but it was a huge bargain nonetheless. In the same week I've ordered a mobile harddrive rack for the tower, a desktop charger and spare battery for the mobile and a new card reader (with Memory Stick support), with the latter coming from eBuyer. But what's with the shortage of cheap Duo cards? The most likely answer is the release of the Sony PSP, which uses them for save games and suchlike. Ever since the PSP was released, Sony's proprietary format has been selling out in high capacity everywhere, and that makes it tricky for the rest of us to find cards at a decent price.
