OK, we're back.

We spent the last few days in Scotland, specifically Dumfries, Fort William and Inverness. We just packed the tent and a load of food into the car and disappeared on up there, pausing only to unsub me from the mailing list and issue a brief farewell.

As expected, it rained every single day we were there. Most of the time it wasn't so bad but there were a couple of mornings where I'd get the tent dried out ready to pack away only for it to start raining again. What fun! It was quite windy most of the time as well, and that seems to have followed us back down South.

I took a few photos, mainly of different castles, landscapes and suchlike. No pics of Nessie I'm afraid.

We actually came back a day early because my back was playing up, only we got stuck in the mother of all traffic jams, caused by a nasty accident on the M180 and which slowed all the surrounding roads to a crawl. It took us five hours to get home from that point, when it should have taken only one.
