Site Tweak coming soon...

For a while now I've wanted to simplify the design of the site. Currently there's a set of freakishly complicated TABLE definitions that define the layout and to be perfectly honest, I don't know what the hell I was thinking when I designed it that way.
So the idea is to re-do these tables and chop out a lot of the extra bloat. The problem is that I'll have to redo every single page on the site. Hopefully it won't be too big a deal.
I'm working from home today so I won't be able to do it until 5pm, or when I run out of work, whichever comes first. After yesterday's hassle I can do with a nice quiet day at home.
Free Beer and Mac Emulation
12:51.01 - Wednesday 18th May 2005 (Link to This Entry)
Taking a break from doing a leaflet for a refrigeration company - the special offer is promotes comprises a truckload of beer (oh alright, up to 15 cases) absolutely free when you buy one of their incredibly expensive fridges. The ad comprises two A4 sides which will presumably go back to back on the same sheet. Basically I've spent all morning on this - a good three hours in total - and it's looking pretty sweet.
I managed to get PearPC up and running, installing MacOS X (Panther) on a 6GB Harddrive file. As far as machine emulation goes it's very slow indeed, but all I need it for is testing sites on Mac browsers, and at that it's more than sufficient.
Or it would be, if only I could get the Internet working on the damned thing. OK so this is classed as beta software and so I should really chill out and patiently try all combinations... which is exactly what I've been doing and it still doesn't work. *Sigh*. The main problem is that the guides I've read suggest using Internet Connection Sharing which I can't do because I run everything through a router, which uses the very IP that ICS wants... meh.
I'm sure I'll figure it out one day, and then it'll all be fine. One day.
