Computers? Interweb? Hah!

Very little seems to be going right these days as far as computers are concerned. Recently the Epson Aculaser C8500 in the office died on us, so we decided to replace it with an C8600. Just after we paid for it, we find a motor for the C8500 on eBay. Bugger! OK, no problem, we can fix that one up and flog it, and have a newer, slightly more advanced printer.

While wheeling the C8600 into the office, my colleague hit the doorframe with the paper tray and took it right off (the paper tray, not the doorframe). We took the one from the dead C8500 and put that on it, but we're still short one tray. Either we employ some superglue or we find one from the spares bloke who has the motor.

*Sigh*

Still no Internet at the office. We're a Website Design and New Media Company without Internet Access! How many of those can there be? Additionally, the design of our building meant we had to use the existing CAT5 cabling to extend the ADSL line from the central server room to the office. All well and good, and the Fax line extended without problems, but the ADSL wouldn't play. Looking for the password I found an email from BT saying the service would be live on the 7th. WTF? We've been waiting for this since the start of Feb! GAH!

I'm going to hang about in World of Warcraft for a bit to cheer myself up. Look for 'Wormwood' on the DuneMaul server if you wanna cyber, baby.
