Quick Days, Slow Days...

I've had a couple of relaxing days off from my other job and have spent the time just tweaking various sites I've got. The best tweak by far was a PDA subsite for a car sales place - I wrote a couple of scripts to show a list of all available vehicles and to pull the car details out of the main database and display them nicely on a 240x320 screen.
The inspiration for this was so that I could whip out my PocketPC while at their site and use their WiFi connection to see what cars were already on the site, rather than have the Sales Manager lug the laptop around outside as we did today. The whole list in the palm of your hand? Nice!
At the other job, I've been putting together a nice website for a heavy plant company. I went for a largly graphical design that used PNGs so that I could float the menu images over any background image without having to worry about dithering, jaggies or cutting out loads of backgrounds. The site will be a bit slow to start up, but it'll look damned sweet once it's done.
Ordered a new printer today as well, since I have to do some photography/printing at an upcoming event and my dinky little Samsung ML-1510 Mono Laser isn't really gonna cut it. More on that later if I can be bothered.
