Server b0rked!

Seems the server was down for several hours after the account was suspended. Tracing this back to our hosts, I found it was suspended because some scam site had used one of the d04.net to promote a scam site. A brief exchange of emails and phone calls ensued, and the server was back on in double-quick time.

IP Blocking implemented.

Some clever little boy over on the Magical Trevor Lyrics page decided to spout a load of gibberish. I've deleted the comments and implemented some basic IP blocking as a result. Wonder who will be the first to be blocked? I think I might block BB for a laugh.

New Computer Taking Shape

I've received quite a few of the bits and pieces for the new machine and decided to put them all together. I'm still waiting for the harddrives, memory and processor but the basic box is all ready for them.

There was some fun with the drive rails early on, since I've never used them before and didn't think to remove the front of the tower before trying to fit them. Everything went in fine though, and it looks very roomy indeed, especially compared to my old Midi ATX case.

Hopefully the rest will be here tomorrow and I can get it finished, then have fun setting up the RAID, formatting 240GB of space and installing all my software... again. Still no news on the monitor either, which is a bit worrying.
