We're fleeing the country for a week in Turkey from tonight, and of course, everyone wants me to get all of their work done as much as possible before I go. For the best part of this week I've been running around visiting customers, answering the never-ending phonecalls and trying to catch up on my PHP where at all possible. I must have done three small websites since Sunday and I'm knackered.

I've been experiencing problems with PHPMailer-generated emails not working in Microsoft Entourage for the Mac. I created a standalone HTML version of the email I wanted to generate and then replaced all of the images with their cid: names, and Outlook/Outlook Express display them without problems - exactly as they appear in the page. I don't think this is an MS-only thing either, since I'm sure my Mac bloke has received working versions of inline attachments in the past.

I also had to sort out a cock-up that a printing firm made for one of my clients. The client had a load of leaflets printed up and I noticed that the email address they'd printed was a different domain to the ones my client actually has. Thankfully the domain hadn't been registered anyway (although the .com has, and that's something to sort out later) so I ponied up the six quid to get it done and set it up as an alias of his main domain.

Not only that, but I've had to knock together a single page ad for a luxury appartment near the Matterhorn. I nicked the Flash panoramic scroller (less impressive than it sounds, believe me) from a related site and stuck that in, together with a few images from a site that featuring the same kind of appartments, and slapped it all together on a blue background. It looks OK, and only took a couple of hours total.

All that remains (unless someone else rings) is to find a couple of bits of info on some boxers, get a news page uploaded and online, and see if I can find a fix for this Mac-centric problem as well. Then I can bugger off for a week. I may throw in a last-minute bl0g entry, but don't count on it.   :-)

Right, I'm off!

I finally finished work about 15 minutes ago - I'm not doing any more now for a week. I'll send out a few 'away' messages and unsub myself from the list, then I'm off into the wild blue yonder for a week of sun and probably booze.
