#..I want my... I want my Free TV!..#

We called in at the old house the other day to pick up the mountain of junk mail that was undoubtedly waiting for us, as well as those few and far between bits of perfectly good post that just hadn't been redirected. Sure enough, there was a fair stack, but not as much as on previous occasions.
One of the bits was from The Store, claiming that I had been awarded a FREE TV AND SOUND SYSTEM. Yeah right - they're that desperate for my business that they'll offer me a huge freebie like that? What's the catch? I read through the documentation and there was nothing suss in there - no mention of a minimum order charge, not a sausage about a honking great delivery charge, nothing. I read it and re-read it. Later that night I mentioned it to BootBlock and Loki and they were skeptical as well.
Eventually I decided to call them - not even an 090 number (BB was tres disappointed)! I asked all the same questions about delivery costs, minimum speds and so on and.. nothing. Yes the offer was still on, no there wasn't a minimum spend (and you can have a tenner off if you spend a tenner or more), no there wasn't any other charge except for £2.95 delivery, would sir like to partake?
So partake I did - I ordered a pair of shorts for £10. Because it was my first order I got £10 knocked off, and all I paid was £2.95 delivery. A pair of shorts for £2.95 isn't bad at all. Sure enough I received a package this morning from a local delivery person. Inside was a pair of shorts and - yes - a suspiciously small box. Turns out the FREE TV AND SOUND SYSTEM is, in fact, a 5.5in black and white portable TV with a built-in radio - the kind that sells for £20 on the local Sunday Market. It has composite video and mono sound inputs, which makes it suitable for use with a wireless camera I have, and it comes with a 12v car cigarette lighter adapter, so we can take it with us if we go anywhere.
Not bad for £2.95!

Playing on the Pocket PC here, so forgive the typos- the handwriting recognition isn't as good as it perhaps could be!
After much deliberation and discussion, I have stuck the mini TV on ebay starting at a measly quid. It weighs almost three Kilos. so postage Dill be a bit of agit, but I reckon I should go straight for a colour Tv for the office.
Spent most of -this afternoon driving around the Scunthorpe area, then a good hour trying -tu do some work on a Mac- not great then you don't have a clue!
