Some kind of Spam Record

Fired up Mail2Web and checked my Spam account today, which I haven't done for quite some time. Of the 550 messages therein, 540 were completely and obviously junk. The other 10 were mildly interesting (but some of them will be junk, mark my words) so I'll pick them up shortly using Outlook.

It looks like I am going to have to change a couple of my email addresses. My main account and a webmaster/domain account I use are starting to pick up far too much junk, so I'll change them and remove the old ones from my alias list so that email sent there goes into the spam account instead. I'll email everyone with the new addresses and give them a week to change, then they can join the junk.

A funny thing happened...

At some point during the night I woke up to a pitch black room. Ordinarily I am only awake when I get into bed and the lamp is on, or when I wake up the next morning with daylight creeping through the curtains, so I've never actually been in that room when it's pitch black.

Being half asleep didn't help either, and I instantly jumped to the erroneous conclusion that there was something wrong with my eyes.

"Holy f*ck", said I. "I've gone blind!"
"No you haven't, it's just dark", said M, and went back to sleep.

We had a good laugh about it later.
