It's a Lot o' Responsibility!

A friend of mine is away for the weekend and has asked me to do his work's Lotto numbers for him. "No problem!" chirps I, forgetting briefly that he has fifteen lines and that I don't have his playslips. Erk!

So it's off the the shop this morning to grab a fistfull of dollars playslips. I scribbled five lines of numbers onto three of said slips - taking care to colour within the lines as much as possible - ready to take the back again once I have the requisite £15 to pay for them.

If he wins, I'm gonna flee the country with his winnings. :)

Business Dinner

23:07.01 - Thursday 29th July 2004   (Link to This Entry)

Been out for a meal at a restaurant in Cleethorpes at the boating lake called 'The Vue'. It's a higher-class restaurant than is the norm for the area, and it's first class all the way. For my starter I had fried goats cheese, main course was an ostrich steak (we spotted it on the menu and I figured I'd try it) and finally a lemon tart with ice cream for desert, followed by a strong coffee and after-dinner mint.

Can't recommend this highly enough - the staff, surroundings, menu and service are all top notch. You can expect to pay roughly £30 per person for a three-course meal but it's totally worth it. I will certainly be going again.
