The Scotland Job Revisited
12:39.58 - Friday 28th May 2004 (Link to This Entry)
Looks like the Scotland Job is paying dividends - I received a note from the gent I worked with about a large Hotel that wanted a website revamp. I've been looking over the website and scribbling down some ideas ready to make up a detailed quote, and it looks like I shouldn't have too much trouble. The only potential problem is coming up with a nice design, heheh.
Not only that, but I received a phone call from a lady who turned out to be the Company Secretary for another company I did a website for, and now she wants a website as well - quite a simple affair really, but all donations of works are gratefully received.
Drop the Voodoo

I finally got round to installing the 32MB nVidia Riva TNT card that I had kicking about in a drawer into the desktop machine, replacing both the Voodoo3 3000 and the WinTV (the nV has a TV-in). BootBlock went off for his tea after predicting doom and gloom with the existing Voodoo drivers.
No problems at all on plugging in the card - it booted into a 256-colour windows and allowed me to bump it up to 1024x768/32 with no problems. It was also a matter of a few moments to find the relevent drivers on nVidia.com - no problem so far. Installed the drivers, computer reboots.. and.. aaaannd.. success!
Next step is to get the old cards onto eBay.

You'll need to test it with a game first :)
