Nokia 6230 - Finally!
11:17.48 - Friday 16th April 2004 (Link to This Entry)
Just taken delivery of the new mobile - it's a tiny tiny little handset and no mistake. It feels as chunky as my 6310i but is a good inch shorter. The screen looks superbly hires from the charging graphics and very very bright as well. It feels nice and solid, and the buttons have a nice click to them.

It also comes with a 32MB MMC card which means I can have a play about and see how that handles before splashing out on a larger card. I'm going to have to spend an hour or so reading though the manual for sure. Inserting the MMC card highlights one possible design flaw - the battery has to be removed to put the card in, just like the N-Gage. On reflection, this isn't a bad thing, since unlike the N-Gage [a] space is at a premium in this handset (so there's no room for an external MMC slot), and [b] it's not like I'll be swapping games out at all - the card will stay in there for quite some time.

The only thing I don't absolutely adore about the handset is the colour of the cover. Only the 'Pearl White' version was available from Mobile Shop and I wanted this one for the silver keypad. The cover is removable, however, so I'll splash out on a proper silver one in time.

Heheheh :)
