You spend ages waiting for a Windows Update...

...then six come along all at once. Yes, folks, it's that time of the month again, time to visit Windows Update and plug a few more holes in the rusty sieve that is Microsoft Windows.

So off I toddle, only to find - yes - six Critical Updates for the laptop and five for the desktop. Download... apply... reboot.. sheesh! To make it worse, the updates do not appear to be downloading properly, and when they do download, they don't install.

I f*cking hate Windows some times.

Well this is interesting - either NTL have taken a dislike to Microsoft and completely blanked all of their sites or Microsoft themselves are under extreme load. WindowsUpdate isn't reponding and MSN won't sign in due to 'technical problems'. Ho hum.

Um... still waiting...

I'm getting 2KB/sec while downloading XP SP1. WU took 15 mins to download 1MB last night. And almost all non-UK sites are slow as hell..
