Toilet Troubles...

More 'Bathroom Troubles', actually. We've taken a good long look at the state of the bathroom that we're having installed and, quite frankly, it's a load of crap. Not only are there uneven tiles on pretty much every flat surface, but there are leaks in almost every bit of plumbing these clowns have done, the units are not installed very well at all and they've managed to scratch the hideously expensive chrome surround on the shower. They just don't seem to be taking any pride in their work, and we're forseeing a lengthy period of hassle.
So Monday morning we'll be ringing Trading Standards to get their view on the matter, and we'll pop into the shop to make our views known before deciding what to do. In all honesty, the bathroom needs stripping out and starting from scratch because of the poor quality of the work, and either they're going to do it, or we'll get someone else to do it. Either way I can see us falling out with them over this.
After the hassle with the window company that went bust with our £400, we can't help wondering if we're simply not destined to have anything nice done. If the cost of the bathroom exceeds our original budget estimate then we're going to have in trouble, because we've already overspent on the improvements by about a thousand quid. The kitchen, at least, should be OK because it's supplied by MFI and fitted by a friend's brother who does this for a living, but there's still going to be that doubt.
