Time off, and what do I do?

Why work of course! This time I'm actually working towards my next holiday by doing a database for our plumber who owns the house in Spain that we stayed in just three weeks ago - it seems like much longer, what with the cold and suchlike.

The database is intended to replace their current mostly-paper-based system and let them bang invoices out the door like there's no tomorrow. I've already completed a Word document for them to print out and use instead of paying for carbon-copy sheets, and I'll eventually base the mail-merge document on that same file, so there will be less work for me to do and less work for them to do - which is the point of the whole shindig.

The database approach will mean all of the invoices are in a single file, and that means it'll be a simple SELECT query to find all of the outstanding, orcerdue or paid invoices - SQL makes life so much easier! Currently they have raw data in a couple of Excel spreadsheets, apparently, but the actual output still consists of putting pen to paper, and their old P133 with 32MB RAM is struggling to sift through those files as it is.

So! A couple of hours on it before Gunbound I reckon.
