Go China!

Anyone else fascinated with the Chinese getting a man into space? Lieutenant Colonel Yang Liwei touched down today after a perfect mission. The guy looked a bit dazed but, to be honest, I think anyone would. Can you imagine being hurled off the planet and into orbit, whizzing round the earth 14 times and then being dropped back in? No wonder those space suits have built-in toilets.
The rockets seemed to be very clean burning as well - there was no 15-mile-high pillar of cloud under the rocket, just a lovely clear flame. I guess this could be down to a less humid launch environment though - anyone want to comment? Heheh - Liwei isn't exactly a young photogenic hunk either, is he? 38 years old? Isn't that pushing it a bit?

I can't help feeling that a lot of the detractors - those banging on about how serious this is ("Hey, those little yellow devils still haven't apologised for Tiananmen Square!") and how there's military implications are the same ones who are allowing Merkin firms to farm out jobs to India to save costs while at the same time levying import duties against China at al to protect their own markets. They're just bullies who don't want some uppitty... upstart, like China, to join their Big Boys Club. The twunts.
Get.. in.. dammit!

I've just had a large banana and a small packet of crisps. Who would have thought that stuffing the 'nana skin into the empty packet could be so... difficult?
