I fired up the old desktop machine this morning expecting to quickly transfer a file over, but instead of getting into Windows no-fuss-no-muss as it's supposed to do, it groaned and strained away at the harddrive. Turns out my brother, while he was staying, had installed some crap to make it run 'better'.

Power Scan, DivX Player, Bargain Buddy, Quicktime, Ultimate Zip and shit without even a decent bloody name, all struggling for supremacy in memory and all bringing Windows to a grinding halt. I kid you not, it took ten damned minutes for it to load and it was still struggling after that. Instead of the quick job I had expected I found myself scraping off the crap he'd left me with.

I'm gonna kill him.
