Mother! You're all Modern!

My Mum's a funny 'un - I off-loaded my old digital tv box and DVD player onto her and she's now more modern than she'd ever have been otherwise, but she still doesn't trust computers and, on the odd occasion she needs to use the intarweb for anything, she always gets myself or a friend of hers to do it, and she would never - never - think to use it for researching prices and wotnot.
Today she happened to mention that that she was in the market for a new mobile phone. I forget why she's upgrading, but she'd basically settled on a Nokia 3410 on the grounds it was small, basic, modern and had a decent selection of ringtones. Contract phones and free minutes mean nothing to my mum, so she was actually making a pretty good purchase - yay Mum!
I asked her to want an hour or so while I got home, and sure enough I found the exact same phone deal at MobileShop.com for £15 less. Granted, she would have to wait a few days for it to be delivered, but it's a fair old saving, and an extra bargain in that, if she keeps her existing number and stays on Vodafone (which she wants to do anyway), then she'll get £20-worth of call credit as well. Nice!
