Data Protection Zzzz...

While rejigging the Lotto site login process to make it a bit more secure, I realised that, since all of the information was online anyway, it would be fairly easy to ensure the site complied fully with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. I reasoned that all I have to do is create a page that will print out all the information I hold about a single account/user and bung it in an envelope, and for this I can charge a tenner - w00t!

The easy part, I guess, was creating the form for a user to fill in and post to me. Now comes the tricky part - creating the script that searches through every single table and pulls out the info for a given user, plus presenting it in a legible, understandable format. Oh what fun!

I aked M if she knew how to do a mailmerge, but she didn't. Bah.

More eBay fun!

Oh man. Just had another message from eBay, this time claiming that they couldn't find my eBay account details based on the email address I had emailed them from. Eh? They sent an email to my registered eBay email address, and I responded to it - and they can't find my account? I suppose the 21-Digit reference code in the email subject line isn't a big enough hint?

Hey, some GOOD news!

My car isn't being written off - it's gonna be fixed instead. Thank gawd for that! We had to return the Fusion Motor (hoho!) a few minutes ago - practically had to prise the keys out of M's hands.
