eBuyer kicked to the kerb.

That's it, I've had enough. I woke up this morning and I'd decided in my sleep that I was going to cancel the eBuyer order. I rang the 0870 number with dread but - amazingly - I got in and speaking to a Real Live Human™ within about two minutes, including navigation of the dreadfully slow touch-tone 'UserShield™' phone menu options.

They claim that the order has been sent but I had ordered 6 days and 18 hours ago - a fact I made sure I'd pointed out when I cancelled under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations which allows you to cancel withing 7 days. Actually it's seven working days, so I'm 52 hours inside the deadline - w00t. The joke is, they reminded me of this option in their emailed order confirmation. Excellent.

So they've lost a £320 order for the sake of £5.99 3-Day delivery, and I've cancelled the account as well which means no more orders from me (unless I order something through BB). I'll use my mate in Leeds instead, who I'm writing a computer components website for.

eBuyer oughta learn some o' that there Customer Service.

Wow, must have been a bad day! I still use eBuyer for cheap stuff, I just don't trust their delivery schedules...
