Yipes!

79 emails, a security update, an expiring domain name and "My Grandfather F*cked Me!" spam - seems to have been a busy Easter Weekend!
Yes, I'm reconnected and nothing appears to be br0ken... excepy my spirit. I am a sucked-dry shell of a human after slapping paint on walls for three days solid and... it still isn't done. Well this morning was my turn for a lie-in (and work, also) so I've left M finishing off.
Problem is, the last bit to be done is in my 'office' and so I've been relegated to the back room once again. Even worse, I've had to set up the cable modem in here as well because there's much painting action going on around the access point in the office. Thankfully we have a Cable TV point in the back room so I've nicked that for the duration. As this room is closer to the garden, I should get a better signal there as well - I'll have to try that.

The question you should ask the brother is, of course:
"If I ask your brother which is the safest route, what will he say?"
And once you have your answer, take the opposite route. Easy when you know how.

He stands over the sink, teeth clenched, perspiration dotted upon his brow, as cold water washes away the blood which slowly seeps from the wounds that pattern the backs of his hands. As he stands there, all else forgotten, he curses those responsible for his current condition.
"That's the last bloody £14 eBuyer case I buy." he whimpers.
= = = = = =
The new case is finally here and, as hinted at above, is apparently made from tinfoil. It's most disturbing to be screwing in a harddrive and feeling the case flex around it - very worrying indeed. And of course, every single external drive bay has a finger-shredding sheet of Aluminium behind it. For the love of God, WHY? I think I managed to cut myself just taking it out of the damned box.
The mainboard, with it's accompanying gubbins, plus the (grossly yellowed) CD-Rom and Harddrive are all installed already. I'm going to take the 3GB drive from my desktop and put that in it as well, then I'll have the makings of a semi-decent setup. It occurs to me that I have a couple of printers sat gathering dust in the other room as well - if one of them takes a bog-standard power lead then I could chuck one of those in.
I probably won't be keeping that Gateway monitor after all.
ooops.

Went over my 1Gb transfer limit for today. Currently at 1.02GB. I blame Grub.org
