Seems the war isn't going quite as the US had hoped. Not only are they finding the going extremely tough, but they've recently been forced to announce that they in fact hadn't had 8,000 enemy troops surrender, and one of the commanders was actually some kid who hoped he's get better treatment by pretending to be an officer. You gotta laugh.

It appears we've also lost two lads in a tank who were fired on by one of our side. They were mistakenly targetted in some night-time melee. Bummer.

I've been really busy working on a mockup site for a job I'm hoping to get (can't remember if I mentioned this one earlier) which involves a little bit of Flash and quite a bit of Photoshop. I've been working on it for the past two days and, quite frankly, I'll be happy to never see it aga.. -oh wait a mo, I need the cash. Dayum.

Yet Another Nice Day appears to be in the offering - the ol' sun is out and things look peaceful. I woke up this morning and it's wasn't freezing cold for once. Must be Springtime! At last!

It won't be long before I can sit in the back garden with my laptop and enjoy some sunshine while I'm out there working. I'd like to get some kind of table/parasol/lounger combination going so that I can sit in comfort, then I can just chill with my glass of OJ and surf teh int4rweb or something.

M decided to drag the hoover out again today so I've retired to the garden for a bit of peace and quiet, as per her suggestion. Strange that the WiFi doesn't work in one particular corner, but if I move just three feet it's fine, even though the straight line to the router would go through an awful lot more brickwork. Still got a dodgy signal, though.

I'm sitting waiting for a chap to turn up with some work for me to do, and he's due over in about an hour, so I've got a short period of tranquility all to myself, allowing me to read sites like this and this.
